Cold Starting

Hello All,

It's just getting into Spring here in the Northeast, and I've got a
question on starting a cold Alpine. With CD carbs, what's the start up
procedure? Or rather what works best? If the car hasn't been started in a
while, I'll manually prime the fuel pump, put the choke on, but it has
trouble "catching" when it first fires up. Once it fires, it stumbles until
I can get it to spin above 2000rpm. Then she gradually smooths out. Any
tips?

Tom
