Well, I am prepping my Bunseam up for summertime and I thought I'd drop a
note to the list to ask about something that has bugged me for years. I
have one of the Series V machines that has the handbrake return spring on
the inside of the brake backing plate. It is a tapered sprial spring with a
longer end that loops over the brake actuator arm. The problem is I only
have one of them - the other was missing when I bought the car, and I have
*never* been able to find one. I did make a reasonable copy out of another
spring, but it fits poorly and I am not sure it really does the job.
Anybody have a source for these strange springs? How many of the Beams came
with them? I can never find them listed in any of the manuals!
