Hi Kevin Mc. I think the spring you are talking about is just an anti-rattle
spring. I don't use them but I remember a small tab with a hole in it for onr
end and another that goes to the hand brake CABLE, some cars used solid rods
to actuate the parking brake. Other cars I have had that used them , the
spring fell off too often and made more noise than just leaving them off all
together. If you go to any large auto parts store, they should have a large
selection of springs (brake) that you can use. Usually one end is straight so
you can make the spring a custom fit. Hopr this helps out.
