Dear fellows,
does anyone know if Hunter / Vogue / late Alpine hardtop (etc.)
differential fits into Mk 4 Series Alpine? My diff is very noisy, and it
would be easier to build a new one before I take the old one out.
If a Vogue diff fits, are there faster rations than my non-overdrive mk 4
standard rear axle ratio?

PS: Few years ago I cut off old, awful straps (???) inside the hood. Some
time later I realized they gave the form to the hood's centre part. I now
have suitable material to make new ones, but does those
belts/straps/what-they-might-be-called go over or under the cross tubes of
the hood frame?
So sorry, I hope even someone understands what I mean....
