Thanks for the reply. The fuel line came out without anything attached to
it. Looking down the fuel pump inlet opening I see the threads for the
coupler and, beyond that, the bore narrows. It may be that the compression
sleeve stayed inside the fuel pump but I cannot tell for sure. I don't want
to scrape it out without getting a replacement. Do you know how to get a new
sleeve? Are they some standard size?
