Wood veneer dash

For those considering replacing their dash boards dash an slab of varnished
hard wood or plywood, you might want to consider veering you old dash with
the hard wood of your choice. I've just about finished mine and I am pleased
with the results. The old plastic covering was removed and the face of the
plastic dash panel was cleaned and sanded with 22 grit paper. I choose a
mahogany veener to match the wood rim wheel and used 3M spray adhesive to
glue it down. Instrument and switch holes were trimmed out with an knife and
Dremel tool. 8 coats of varnish later with 2 more to go... Looks good $30
worth of materials.
