Ive seen decent Elans sell for 10 to 15K.

In your opinion is your LeMans harrington worth 10-15K?

The Elan is certainly easier to come by than the harrington,
while I'd love to own an early Elan, I doubt the trade would
be fair in the long run.

Subject: Harrington - Lotus Trade ?

Hi,
I just had an interesting phone call. A guy I know who owns a Lotus Elan
S2 (I think it is a '62) Wants to know if I would be interested in
trading for the Harrington Le Mans I have. The Lotus is pretty nice and
comes with a boat load of spare parts including an extra head with the
DCOE intake. I have driven this car before and let me tell you....its a
fast SOB! I have never owned a Lotus before and thought I might be able
to turn to you guys for some advice. I really had not considered selling
the Le Mans, but I always liked the Elan. I think the trade would be
fair, but I'm not sure.
What do you guys think? - ian
