Hi Cole,

I've seen a Sunbeam Imp Sport head with a valve straight through to the water passage

This head alu also was welded and reworked and came up beautifully and above all

worked fine again.

Regards

Bert

Hello all,
I had a strange experiance this past weekend. I am fixing a '65
Mercedes 230S that has an aluminum head. The head looks great but has a
pin hole (just big enough to get a sewing pin in) in one of the cylinder
cavities. The corrosion in the water passages is not at all severe. I
think that a the head was flawed from the factory. Has anyone seen
anything like this? The hole is not on the serface of the head, can it
be welded?
