Bob,

The nominal thickness of a new rotor is 0.500 inch. Once upon a time, the
Rootes shop manuals used to say that it was ok to remove up to 0.020 inch
from either side, leaving a minimum thickness of 0.460 inch. Later versions
of the manuals removed those specifications and simply said to replace a worn
rotor . . . Easy for THEM to say . . . way back then . . .
