Yep, those cork seals are a b****!! Have had the same problem myself.
No easy fixes and it's harder to fix from under the car. Just need to
make certain that the cork is glued down good before you put the pan
on. My machinist used silicone and it sealed up real good (until I had
to take it off and straighten out the improperly installed oil pump,
that is).
