I could be mistaken, but I believe Rootes called code 86 "Forest
Green." That's the code on my SV. Don't make the mistake I did and
trust the paint shop to know what they're doing. My painter was
assured that he was given the correct color. Turns out he got "British
Racing Green" and that's what he painted the car with. I did not
discover the error until I attended a car show more than a year later
and saw the proper 86. "Forest Green" has more yellow in it than "BRG"
and subsequently looks more olive green.
