Our Alpine has developed a problem: it jerks and shudders
badly as the clutch is being released. It's ok with the clutch
either totally engaged or disengaged, but it definitely shakes
bad in between those two states. My wife said it had been fine
until last night, when this problem suddenly appeared. Looking
into the engine compartment while she was pressing the clutch,
it looked like the clutch slave was working ok, and I didn't
notice any deflection of the vibration damper so I assume it's
not engine related. I'd guess there has been some mechanical
failure of the clutch disk itself? Any other ideas? Thanks!
