Was interested in your mail re the wire wheels as I have an old set I
was going to investigate the cost to rebuild, to replace the Sunbeam
Lotus alloys currently on our 67 SV.
Any idea the cost of a set including shipping to England?
Is it cheaper to rebuild or buy new?
Anyone in the UK that can rebuild or supply new?
any help appreciated

Hi Listers...
I picked up the custom built 14"x5" chrome wire wheels today from Sports and
Classics in Darien, CT. They look really great and are a big improvement
over the stock 13" wires and 175/80-13 tires. Since the new wheels were
specified for the Sunbeam they are a perfect fit. Dayton did a teriffic job
lacing 72 stainless steel spokes around the Alpine hub. These are serious
wheels. I also purchased 185/70-14 Bridgestone RE930's through Sports and
Classics. They mounted and "wire wheel" balanced the tires for me.
I took lil'red out for a ride tonight and the difference is incredible.
If anyone is interested in a set of these 14" Sunbeam Wire Wheels call Alex
at Sports and Classics. He's very good at this stuff.
Still smilin' and ready for Bowie on the 27th...
