AN UPDATE FOR THOSE THAT ARE INTERESTED. I AM NOW IN POSSESION OF MY 67
ALPINE. I WILL HAVE TO PAY SOMEONE ELSE TO FINISH THE JOB THAT I HAVE
ALREADY PAID THE PREVIOUS OWNER TO DO. BUT I HAVE POSSESION FINALLY. MY
BACK IS COMING ALONG. I HAVE A TECHNICAL QUESTION. THE NEW WIRING
HARNESS HAS ME CONCERNED. THE DIAGRAM IN MY ROOTES BOOK SHOWS NO AMP
METER OR BLOWER MOTOR. ON THE AMP METER THERE IS A BROWN 10 GAUGE WIRE
COMING FROM THE STARTER SOLINOID. THERE IS ALSO A BROWN W/ WHITE STRIPE
14 GAUGE WIRE COMING FROM THE SOLINOID. THESE TWO WIRES ATTACH TO THE
SAME POST ON THE AMP GAUGE. WHAT CONNECTS TO THE OTHER POST ON THE
GAUGE? AND THERE IS CONFUSION ABOUT THE GREEN WIRES THAT COME OFF THE
FUEL AND AND TEMP GAUGES. IT SEEMS THAT THERE IS A SMALL ALUMINUM BOX
UNDER THE DASH THAT THE GREEN AND GREEN WITH BLACK STRIPED WIRES ALL
CONNECT TO. THIS I FOUND ON THE PARTS CAR. NO SUCH BOX ON THE PEARL. I
AM GENERALLY QUITE GOOD AT THIS SORT OF THING BUT THE BRAIN REFUSES TO
FUNCTION WHEN I AM FEELING THE PAIN. THREE DAYS ON A WIRING HARNESS!
