today marks the beginning of my alpines life. there are a few glitches
to be worked out but the car fired up and ran. a little timing and carb
work, some new o-rings and gas lines and an awful lot of pre ignition
praying. am i crazy or does that 1725cc engine sound like a ......
there is nothing to compare it to. it sounds like liberty. i liberated
the rodent that stored half a pound of acorns and sunflower seeds in the
muffler. this is the crazy part. people that i have never met are
stopping me and asking about the car. they see me and dad in the
driveway tinkering and can't help themselves. now if the clutch master
cylinder worked i could take it for a ride. i could use a little help on
the wiring. my car has a black plastic voltage regulator for the gauges.
three male pins. the other car has a small tin regulator with two males
and two females. so my temp and fuel gauges don't work because i used
the plastic one that came in the car. and it probably is not plugged in
correctly. advice? go with older style? go crazy? i can do either. but
boy does that engine sound nice.
