Sorry, I couldnt interpret your data.
Are you saying you had 236 ppm HC, or 2000 ppm HC for this first test.

Or are you saying that you had 236 for "driving" and 2000 for "idle".

If so, your symptoms are inconsistant with "stomberg worn shaft syndrome".
Worn stroms run lean a idle, when the jets are set right,
and OK at idle, but very rich at speed, when the jets are set to compensate
for the air bypassing the throttle shafts.

Me thinks you have other problems than worn shafts.

Are you saying your idle is above 1100 to start with?
Your choke cam isnt mal-adjusted is it?
