I'd just like to point out a similar experience I had. Replacing the
battery did make the car work better, but only for a little while. It
still ended up being a bad ground. My only guess is that the "stronger"
battery was able to get enough juice out to compensate for the weakening
ground. When it started happening again, I finally did find the bad
ground, fixed it, and the problem never came back.
