I've been out of touch for a little while, as we've moved from New
Jersey to Nebraska. Things are MUCH more affordable out here, so we now have
a nice house, complete with 4 car heated and air conditioned garage! (you can
see where my priorities were, huh?)
So far, only half the fleet is here. I drove my 66 Humber out, and
trailered my 67 Sunbeam camper behind the u-haul. Talk about a fun trip....
28 hours in a loaded 24ft truck, towing 6000lbs of trailer & camper!! Now, I
have my Alpine and the other Humber to bring out, along with another Alpine
bodyshell. Wish I had a car carrier!
I'm trying to find 2 major things at the moment. First, I need 2 stock
Series V PCV valves. I have to put one on both the camper and the Humber.
Second, and a little more unusual, is the air cleaner adapter on top of the
dual Zenith carbs for a Series III (or IV?) Alpine GT. I used the Zenith
setup to get a little more power for my camper, and I think I can connect the
original air cleaner to the dual carbs if I can get one of the stock GT
dual-carb air housings. The flat screen filters won't work well in the camper
engine bay.
