On the SV cooler setup, there is a cooler adapter, which mounts between
the oil filter base and the engine block.

I prefer aftermarket coolers the the stock rootes cooler for the simple
reason that the rootes cooler has so little surface area, and the cooler
is not a full flow cooler.

On after market coolers, there is a screw on adapter that screws on where
the filter would screw on, and the filter then may be remote mounted,
or screwed onto the adapter.

Pegasus sells adapters, coolers and hose.

The coolers may be mounted wherever practical, the two openings inside
the front valance are a great location.
