sigh....been hanging out in the garage just taking it all in....she's so
pretty despite the temporary ugliness of the surface rust...dug through more
parts....new window seals, new brake pads, shoes and rubber brake lines.
Original color is wegewood blue...so that is what she will be...gotta buy
bulk since Im still lined up to do a body and repaint on my friends S2 which
was one of 4 factory built rally cars and is also to be Wedgewood blue.
Just a few weeks ago I was planning on buyin a corvette (mid 70s) and selling
all my other toys to finance it. When the Alpine came along I figgerd I
could do a quickie resto and sell for enough to procure my 'vette. Now I
cant ever see parting with her...she is beautiful. Even in her current
neglected state I got nothing but honks and waves and thumbs up while towing
her from MD to NJ. Besides I think the tow chowed the tranny in my suburban
so I have to keep the car now :) Sigh....another car in the I love it too
much to sell it catagory (blaspehmey but the other is a 128 Fiat SL) Now I
just need to sell my Alfa Romeo to finance the resto.
