Hi Steve,
Good to hear that you had a god summer and that things are back to status
quo; that's often a very nice place to be.
I couldn't make it on Friday: Competition Motors is having a busy time
preparing for the Castle Hill Concours at the Crane Estate in Ipswich, MA
this weekend.
Don't know whether you are familiar with this event, but it's as good a
pre-war car show as New England has. Last year I was the official
photogrpaher for the event, and I can attest to there having been numerous
'Pebble Beach' level cars there, as well as some very rare and beautiful
vewhicles, like a perfect birdcage Maserati and a very fine 1934 Alfa CS
1750, along with a Minerva (how many of them have you seen?) and a Thomas
Flyer of truly prodigous quality and finish.
The show begins on Sunday the 19th, at 9:30 (I believe), and costs $20. A
lot of people get in free if they're driving a pre-1973 (again, I believe
'73 is the cutoff date) fine vehicle. It's very well worth the tarrif and
85% of the money goes to charity. Maybe I'll see you there.
Cheers for now,
Best, David
