Pinemasters,
started to put the engine together today and have already run into a setback.
The Crankshaft end play with standard thrust washers is now at .007. The
manual lists .002-.004 as the mark to hit. Here we go....I need to call SS
Monday and order thrust washers .005 over and that should take care of that.
Now for the part that has me stumped. The Camshaft has end play that is off
the charts! (1/4") I don't see any way to adjust this? The end plug was
put in at the machine shop. Does this have anything to do with it? How do I
get this right. I have looked at the exploded view of the parts in the
manual but don't see anything I am missing.
Help!
