As a weldor who has tried to repair frame damage beneath undercoat, (and
as already mentioned), I would not recommend this. You would be putting
an impermeable coating on the bottom which would trap and hold moisture
coming from the top, and rust would not be evident until there was a
catastrophic failure. {This already happens with many undercoats, when
drains are inadvertently (or ignorantly) plugged}. It's much better to
be able to see and repair damage before it gets too bad. Maybe selective
coating of areas vulnerable to rock damage might be better.
