Tom,

A meter can tell you if the coil is bad, but it cant tell you if its good.

Why? Coils can have internal windings that can short to one another,
and cause a weak or nonexistant spark even though the resistances show
good.

My advice is to connect it to a running engine and look to se that the
spark is good and blue.
