Hi all,
for gauges that "look the era" go to "autometer.com" and request a catalog.
They have a very wide assortment and some look like they can be from that
era. The small gauges are 2 1/16" wide (called 2" in book) and should work, I
made an all aluminium dash will all A-M ultra-lite gauges nothing original
in that look!

Someone asked about putting a ford 8" rear end in his car, I did. Measure
your Alps' rear DRUM TO DRUM about 52" i believe. Have whoever is doing the
job shorten the new rear end to the same size, or as i did, a wee bit wider
to even out the track, mine I did 1/4" on each side. You will also have to
have the shock mounts and spring pads removed and welded on the new piece.
The next thing is having parking brake cables made to fit......call Dale
Akuzuski, he had mine done.
