Mine is apart. From memory, the chrome bezel has little tabs on the inside
hole. They bend over the metal hole on the body. Then the large rubber
grommet sandwiches both the body and the bezel. Note however that the
rubber grommet probably needs to be on the metal pipe first before putting
it together on the body and bezel.
I've seen a bunch of S3's that have the filler cap sticking up pretty high.
I'm suspicious that those cars have the tube attached too high inside the
car at the gas tank. But, that's only a suspicion as I have not tried to
put it all back together again yet.
