I would not recommend the use of silicone or WD40 to install the glass
in the channel rubber. Rather, use water and mild dish soap (very
little, only enough to make the water slick). Silicone and WD40 won't
dry completely and leave a slippery residue when most of the moisture
is gone. Soap and water will dry completely and does not leave a
residue.
