Matt,
The S3 has a solid fuel line from the pump, up the side of the block,
across the front, then a tee piece that splits off to the front carb.
The line continues along above the inlet manifold then does two right
angle bends to line up with the inlet of the back carb. Compression
fittings are used on the ends, but I don't know what type they are as I
have not had them apart - yet.

Mine is in several pieces with flexible hose to join it all up. Please
let me know if you find a way to renew yours as I would like to fix up
mine sometime.

Cheers,
Paul.

This sounds about like mine, except that my old one had only broken once. I
put a similar setup in, with all new fittings and pipe. Unfortunately, I did
this *before* the worries about household vs. automotive copper pipe arose on
the list, and fear that my shiny new lines may become a hazard before long.

What is the proper type of pipe in this application? Sources/particular
specs?

BTW, I have Zenith (WIP 36) carbs from a series 3, not Zenith-Stromberg (CD
150 (?)) from a series 5. No plastic T fittings, etc. etc.

Thanks to all who had suggestions, diagrams, etc. If I re-re-make this in
proper automotive pipe,
I may ask for photos of the correct routing for the pipe.

Oh, here's a question. Did the series 5 have an oil cooler? Digging around
in the boxes of spares, I found what looks like an adapter plate, with two
hose fittings, that would go between the block and the oil filter plate. If
my assumptions so far are correct, how big was it, and where did it sit?

Enough for now.

Many thanks,
Matt
