Whili at SUNI I talked to someone, sorry I don't remember his name, from
Seattle who had used a sound deadener that he had gotten from a marine
supply. It was basically a 3/16 " thick tar like material with an adhesive
backing similar to what is used by stereo shops to deaden noise in high
powered car stereo instalations. The big benefit of the marine stuff was
that it was considerably less expensive than the stereo stuff. I think the
person I spoke with at SUNI is on the list, so hopefully he will respond to
this post.
