Full power rebuild

I have a spare, loose and tired engine (actually I have two).

Both are 1725.
One received two sleeves in cylinders 3 (at) 4 which brought those two back to
standard.
The other is engine is merely worn out.

I want to rebuild one (or both) right and with power.
I have 'Mickey-Moused' three engines now just to stay on the road and I am
tired of it.

The current engine is burning a litre of oil every two days. (I drive 70
miles a day)
I figure I have 6 months.

For those who know how, I would like to be told exactly what to do or where
to buy it.

I will have a machine shop do what I cannot.

I know this has been talked over before, but I would appreciate a complete
engine overhaul guide and
who carries the right performance parts.

I will compile the ideas to arrive at a consensus.
