Hi Rob, the same thing happened on my series 5. There's a couple of clips
under the forward hood buffers, (rubber bumpers) one on each side. That's
where the lights are grounded. I removed the buffers (there's a nut
underneath) and cleaned the clips and the bullet connectors. One of my
clips broke when I was taking it off but I made a replacement out of a
piece of brass stock. Hope this helps.
