I got a pair of Hillman springs from Smitty. Unfortunately he could
not tell me the exact car they came from. It was a sedan of the same
era as an Alpine, that's all I know. That, and they effectively lower
the front end about 1.25" and the spring rate is about 30-40lbs heavier
than the stock Alpine spring. So they work real well to improve front
end handling.
