I had a similar fogging problem, but from a different source on my first
Alpine. The air that flows through the heater assembly comes down a tube
from between the two outside air vents. Over the years debris had built up
(with the help of various rodents I believe) and whenever it would get wet
this would act as a sponge, sending warm moist air against a cold windshield
creating fog. If you are sure that nothing else is leaking, you may try
removing the blower and cleaning the tube out (I don't know of any other way
to get in there). I was amazed at how well my heater worked after I did.

Could be leaking again... Is there that sweet smell of coolant, and "oily"
residue, like before?
