Here is my secret to get clean electrical connections. Use a little
metal conditioner like Dupont 5717s. You want to brush it on to the
connections with an acid-brush. This is the same metal conditioner that
I use to prep the bare steel Alpine bodies before the first application
of primer. The conditioner really cleans the plated connection very
nicely. It's probably a good idea to wash the parts with water and dry
after the application. But if you can't, I would blow them dry with a
compressed air.
