Hello All,
I am sure that it is very expensive! Anyone CAN do this, but it is best
left to the experts. There is a lot more to this than just making runners
that all start in one place and end in four others! Bornoulli himself would
have difficulty in making a manifold that would work perfectly in these
applications. For the cost to effort ratio, the dual webber system is still
"the cheapest" system that provides the most performance. In case you want
to get one, contact Tom Wiencek in Illinois who had them custom made. He can
put you to the manufacturer who probably retained the tooling to make one.
I remember the Tiger custom manifold they first marketed. At a race, a
Rep from edelbrock told them if they swapped it out for his F4B, they would
increase horsepower by 15 or 25 (My memory isn't that good!). Anyway, they
did and they hauled ass! Dyno testing proved this to be correct as well! I
only point this out so that you understand that even engineers who
specialize in making manifolds have difficulty "building a better
mousetrap". Circa 20 HP is a major difference in performance for "identical"
bolt on products!
