Tonight I had an email from a guy who runs the Rapier registry. He
seemed very knowledgeable about the Rapier Series II engine.
The following is additional information I was able to locate on my
engine.
Tonight while at my shop, I looked for additional information.
I'm still pretty sure of the stamped number on the block of A3805622
ODLUX
Cast in the head C122155 Left Side
Cast on the Left side a 1/2" high "R"
On a small plate attached by the starter 16-5-58 (I presume May 16, 1958
manufacture date)
Cast in the Lest side of block C22103
Cast in right side just in front of fuel pump 1/2" high "4
I dont know if I mentioned this before, but the oil filler is on the
front end of the cover rather than the rear like all the Alpines I have
seen.
