Question

Happy New Year to all:

I was needing to know what color or texture the PCV valve on a Series V is
supposed to be. Mine is rather dark in color and pretty corroded looking.
I didn't know whether or not to plug it off on either end and bead blast it
or just clean it and paint it. Can someone shed some light on this for me?
