Hello All,
Ole will be missed. How can we put into words just how much he will be
missed? Ole was a great guy. A constant, loyal sunbeamer who kept the marque
alive! He attended nearly every event, and ran the club when others would
not serve. He served on the British car club council. He was always there to
talk to. He was generous.
It's times like these where I have trouble. I have to balance my grief,
my selfishness for the loss of something that I want, with the eventual end
of all of us. I don't want to let Ole go, but I know it has to happen. I
know his pain has ended.
As the message below stated, Ole had suffered a long time, but he tried
his best to keep it a secret because he didn't want us to suffer along with
him. Be didn't want blathering sympathy. He just suffered on his own. It was
hard to respect that because our nature wants to tell everyone and create
vigils. Credit certainly goes to everyone in the SDSOG because as far as I
know, everyone respected his wishes.
As always, I remember the last time I saw Ole. I will always remember
him as a happy smiling face, with a joke on his lips. I think a man is
immortal as long as he is remembered by his friends. Ole, Ole, You are
remembered. Please forgive me for my melodrama. It's just how I feel about
losing a dear friend, and once you lose those, you really have nothing.
