robert,
        Did you make and inserted a dummy shaft into the cluster to hold the
needle bearings together? If not, the needles will fall out of their
race and you will need to disassemble the whole transmission and capture
the loose needles. To line up the cluster to the tranny case, I turn the
transmission upside down and have the cluster rest on top to the mating
gears and insert the cluster shaft.
