Last summer my kids and I stopped for ice cream whileout for a
drive in the Beam. This guy came up to us and said he had the same year
and color car years ago etc.etc. "and by the way, I have a parts
catalogue you might want." I had just recently been reading on the list
about how usefull Christopher Albers found the Rootes parts catalogue
and I was planning on buying one . At $50 I needed to think about it but
then this former Alpine owner wants to give me one. What a break!
A couple days later I made the time to drive the 30 miles to his
house to pick it up only to find out it was a Long Automotive ( VB
predecessor?) catalogue from the 1970s or 80s. Of course I had to act
grateful as he handed me this rag which found it's way to the dumpster
the minute I got home.
The moral? If it sounds too good to be true--------
