I don't completely understand your problem. All lacquer paints have been
discontinued in all states. Why can't you buy a readily available
single-stage DuPont or PPG product? They are VOC compliant. I don't
think California is all water-based enamel paint yet. Do you need the
formula for Wedgewood Blue? Any formulas that have been around for 10-20
years are no good because the new pigments are not calibrated to the
older pigments used in those older mixing formulas. The only reliable
way of obtaining the correct color is to match the color from an
original painted part. Sometimes the underside of the hood release plate
can be used. What do you need?
