Hipo motor

Hi All,
First thanks to everyone who answered my questions on "Big valves and
chevy rods" Chris, Brent, Greg appreciate it.
So far I have got a 1725 motor and trans lined up, and a set of rods
from a 153 ci chevy four, same as 5.7 small journal 327 but wider on the
big end, no brazing required. I also talked to Delta Cams about a
regrind,262 duration 410 lift, at under $50 and $2.75 ea. to resurface
the lifters they seem the way to go. Has anyone used them? Looks like
Ross racing is the best source for pistons, at not alot more than stock
pistons in the $350 range, and they will fit the chevy rods with no
honing for the wrist pins. The crank gets off set ground and cross
drilled, the off set grind gets you a few more cc's. Have not got any
ideas on the oil pump yet, but am going to do Jarrids relief valve
modification. I have heard that the 'Sunbeam survivors guide" tells how
to modify the timing cover and damper pulley for use of a modern oil
seal. Does anyone have a Sunbeam Survivors for sale or know where I can
get one.
On to the head things are a little fuzzy here. Datson valves cut down
with lash caps, intake at 1.550 and exhaust at 1.325 which puts them
.100 apart. Seems the valves to use are from 1.8 to 2 liter late 70's
Datson which are a little shorter and the stems are a little bigger
around. I am assuming that the Datson seats can be install. I really
want to do some port work on the head and have had a couple of books
suggested as guides so far they have all been out of print. Anyone got a
guide to porting a Roots head having never done this before pictures
would be good. For valve springs Brent suggested 1600 Ford I am thinking
of the pinto motor but am not sure yet if these are the ones he means.
Well thanks for any suggestions and listening to my thinking out loud
