The fast and functionally (but not totally - that requires Registry
editing) complete method:
1. Find c:\windows\system\*.ska
2. Move the corresponding *.dll to a floppy for safety
3. Rename the corresponding *.ska to *.dll (a "nice" virus that makes backups)
4. Shutdown, reboot and test your browser/mailer
5. If OK, delete the files from #2
This will remove the files that do the work, but still leave a small and
harmless record of the infection.
It's not just eBay people that are the problem, it's people that open
whatever they are sent by anyone before first giving their head a shake.
Folks, the 'Net is much like sexual intercourse. Do you let just anyone
connect their bare physical parts with yours? Every executable
attachment in the Windows world does exactly that with your machine,
sometimes very deeply, and often in a superficially "friendly" way.
To keep this marginally 'beam-related, use the 'Net like you (hopefully)
drive your prized possession around - defensively.
