It worked? Heck, I was here then. I remember that day very well. I even
remember reading the newspaper and watching the TV news. There wasn't as
single positive report. The only thing mentioned was that it came and went
without any impact. I mean really. Do you think one of these
multi-multi-billion dollar companies are going to care if a bunch of yahoos
don't buy gas for a day or two? They know darn well we are addicted and we
have no choice but to buy the gas the day before or the day after. It's
just a matter of timing. They'll get our money one way or another.
