clutch master cylinder return spring

Curt:

While rebuilding my clutch master cylinder on my Series 5, the "return
spring" inside the clutch MASTER cylinder (not slave cylinder) crumbled
in my hands.

I contacted Rick at SS out here, but he does not have any of these, new
or used. Would you be able to help me out with this "return spring"
request?

I have also copied the Alpine list in case someone else can also help
out. It is amazing how this little spring can cripple the whole car! I
already rebuilt the slave cylinder, and all seems to have gone smoothly
there.

As an aside, this clutch master cylinder gave out while 5 other Sunbeams
and I were caravaning together on a 400 mile trip out in the California
desert area this past weekend. After the clutch failed, I had the
free-sshift the remaining 200 miles home. Fun!?
