I just went to the A&E site. They have their Avenger tapes for sale and
claim that the episodes on the tapes are uncut. Unfortunately their lists
do not show the names of the episodes on each tape. There are 2 volumes
each for 1965 and 1966 (they also have volumes for 1964 and they come in
DVD or VHS. They are about $29 a set for the tapes and $44 for the DVD.
The first set for 1965 has the first 6 episodes. The second set has 7
episodes, but doesn't say which. I ordered it anyway. What the heck? The
worst that can happen is that I'll have 7 hours of Mrs. Peel. The best
that can happen is that I'll have 7 hours of Mrs. Peel and a few quick
shots of an Alpine. I can always go to the garage for the Alpine. Too bad
about the bedroom though ;-)
I'll report if it's there when I get them.
Anyway, at one of the Avengers sites, it lists the following about this
episode:
Series 4, 20th episode out of 26 - the first year with Ms. Peel, the 5th year being her last. It didn't say the date it was aired.

If the pace of civvy street is too slow, why not join The Danger Makers? Steed
and Mrs Peel are puzzled by important military officers risking their lives
unnecessarily and the secret seems to reside in Manton House. Long is
harnessing the desire of his colleagues to live dangerously, so that he may
fulfil Operation Grand Slam and steal the Crown Jewels. Whilst Steed is
relieved to discover that is is "too easy to kill a handcuffed man", Emma
ensures that Long gets the shock of his life. Exit the Avengers in go-carts.
