Gary,
Alpines use 4 x 4 1/4 inch (also called 4 x 108 mm here in metric
Australia).
Ford Cortina and Escort use the same pattern, as do Hillman (surprise!).
I'm told that 4 x 4 1/2 inch fits Triumph cars. Anyhow, you'd need to be
*very* careful with the backspace in order to run 7 inch wide rims under
standard Alpine bodywork.
Jarrid Gross told me to go for 4 to 4.25 inch backspace with 6 inch wide
rims. That should be a start.
Cheers,
Paul.
