A fellow in the Seattle area made several Mazda RX-3 and RX-4 rotary
conversions. He used '55 Chevy rubber doughnuts for engine mounts, and had
to move the radiator top hose neck to the other side of the radiator. The
shifter comes thru the same hole as stock. The steering cross-link has to be
cut and raised about an inch. The fittings on the oil cooler (manditory)
have to be altered to accept the metric fittings. The driveline has to be
cut, and the Mazda front piece used. I don't recall the transmission
mounting arrangement. A Mazda (rotary design) muffler must be used.
This was back in the '70's when Sunbeams were plentiful and before our
cars were collectible. What a way to ruin a classic English sportscar.
