I ascribe to this view. I've done many of the mods mentioned. Those
of you who have seen my car know this. What bugs me is when people
tell other people to stuff their opinions when they don't agree with
them.

What frosts my butt is those on both sides of the coin who believe their
view is the only one that counts and that they have an obligation to
insure
that we all follow their sentiment. I for one do not need to hear their
opinions, rather I would like to hear that we all take pride in the
cars,
no matter who does what to them.
As I recall, the original post that started all of this consisted of
one word...shame. Now I don't see how anyone could read into that an
egocentric, bigoted view of car modification. I, for one, did not read
all of this into a one word statement.

My personal view is that the only cars
truly worth a restoration effort are those that are historically
significant. And there are not many of those in the Alpine ranks.
If there ever were a comment to spark debate.....
Let's all lighten up. This is supposed to be a forum for
entertainment, information, camraderie, etc. Let's not boggle it down
with egos. If there is one thing I have learned about written forums,
it is that people can be easily misunderstood. Let's agree to err on
the side of caution and not jump all over eachother for expressing an
opinion ('cuz we all know what opinions are like....). Let's agree to
keep statements like, "keep your opinion to yourself" out of this
forum. If you want to talk like that to someone, do it in a personal
e-mail, not on the list.
