I hear what you're saying, and it isn't the originality question that
exercises me so much as the suggestion that Bob should keep his opinions
to himself! He has a right, they are opinions that he developed through
years of exposure to the cars, and represent a point of view that
certainly deserves our respect, if not our agreement. There will be
much in my car(s) that is non-original, and some of it Bob would not do
himself. That doesn't mean he should shut up, or that I should, or that
YOU should. Let's talk about these issues, not fight about them.
Everyone has a point of view, individual objectives and goals. A 150
mph "Proper Alpine" would be a sight to see, for sure. Are the
aerodynamics at that speed likely to be a problem?
